La Mamá Gansa, in Spanish and English

I have translated all of the rhymes I use in my programs into Spanish, and can perform the entire program in Spanish, or can switch back and forth between Spanish and English.  This is an excellent program for teaching English-speakers Spanish, or for teaching Spanish-speakers English!  If an audience has a few Spanish-speakers, I can perform mostly in English, but include a few Spanish words to help make the meaning clear, and perform some of the rhymes in Spanish.  Click here to hear a bilingual Mother Goose story.

Mother Goose for English as a Second Language

Nursery rhymes are important tools for language acquisition, both for the young child and for students of English as a second language.  I have performed for children in Russia who were learning English, and they found it a great help in their study of the language.  For ESL classes, I use more mime and repetition than usual to help make the meaning clear.
